Snake repulsions
Snake repulsions

The term Snake repulsion refers to all those works required to repel and treat reptiles to protect industrial, commercial and domestic areas. The state has enacted laws prohibiting the extermination of snakes by allowing only their repulsion. Greek and European Legislation strictly prohibits their control and killing since reptiles are considered vulnerable and endangered species.

Snakes help balance the ecosystem by controlling rodent populations, which are considered serious parasites. The works of snake repulsion for the protection of the spaces from the reptiles are carried out by experienced personnel in the presence of a responsible scientist Agronomist. The snake repulsion is carried out with the use of preparations approved by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

Therefore we use repellents, non-toxic, environmentally friendly that do not kill snakes but act repellents, removing them from the premises. Snake repellents are placed outdoors, at key points. These preparations emit a strong characteristic odor, they are in granular form, in the form of a spray solution and in boxes, which are placed on either side of the entrances and around the perimeter, to prevent the entry of reptiles into the premises.

Before the works for the repulsion of the snake, the area is inspected by the Responsible Agronomist of our company, in order to indicate the appropriate places where the preparations will be placed and applied, wanting to prevent the possible appearance – presence of reptiles in them. The applications for snake repulsion are made in late Spring, mid-Summer and early Autumn.

The technology of the preparations we use, allows the drugs to remain effective for at least 2-3 months after their application. During the winter months in Greece snakes are not a problem and at this time no snake repulsion is carried out since all reptiles are in hibernation.
