The main applications that are carried out to fight a cockroach infestation are:

• The spray
• The use of special food-attracting baits in gel form

1) The spraying is done perimetrically, with insecticides that dissolve in water and are sprayed with common spraying machines. As the water evaporates, the active substance remains on the sprayed surface and, as the insect moves into the sprayed area, it adheres to its body, legs, antennae and hairs, causing its death. Particular attention is paid to dark, wet and hot spots in underground wells, water pipes, pipettes, behind electrical appliances, boiler rooms, etc. Insecticides are odorless, do not stain and do not stain the surfaces to which they are applied. This method is used for cockroaches in the common areas of buildings – stairs, floors, ground floor, basements, boilers, warehouses, water meters, wells, skylights – in warehouses, shops, cottages, complex wells, etc.

2) The use of special food-attracting baits in gel form is done in cases of infestation by German (thin blonde) cockroach in kitchens and bathrooms of apartments and food production areas. In these places it can not be applied by spraying, due to the presence and processing of food. In addition, the insect larvae (newborn cockroaches) do not leave their nests for food as often as the larger insects and spend more time in sheltered places, where they feed on the feces of other members of the group (coprophagia), especially when there is absence of other available food. They can also feed on the soft parts of a dead insect inside the nest (cannibalism). These two characteristics of the insect play a major role in controlling it by using food-attracting baits in gel form, as mentioned below. The pregnant adult female and the young nymphs are two stages of the insect life that can escape an insecticide application. When newborn cockroaches emerge, we hope they walk on a sprayed surface. But this does not always happen. Various surfaces absorb the toxic substance, so that the available toxicity is not enough. Worse still, the negative effects of water, heat, and time reduce toxicity to such low levels that only the weakest insects are killed. Usually, resistance to the preparation follows and the insecticide ceases to cause death. The use of food traction gel bait is the only solution to eliminate, with a mortality rate of 90% or more, an infestation by German cockroaches in an apartment or any food production and processing area. This method fights all the insects that ate directly from the bait, but also those that remained hidden in the nests through coprophagia and cannibalism. The gel drops are placed near the places where they find shelter and the cockroaches hide. They do not run, drip or cause toxic fumes and are completely safe to use even in kitchen cabinets.
